Many business owners feel like they're "talking to a wall." You post a thoughtful post, but only a handful of people see it. The truth is, Facebook and Instagram are tightening the rules, and the average organic reach is now less than 5%. So how do you get more people to see your content without spending a fortune on paid promotion? Here are ways to beat the algorithm:

1. Video is king (especially Reels)

The current algorithm clearly prioritizes short, vertical videos. Reels get exposure even to people who don’t follow you, making them the most powerful tool for organic growth today.

  • Tip: Don't try to be perfect. Authentic mobile videos work better than expensive productions.

2. Movement creates movement (the 90-minute rule)

Facebook reviews your post in the first few minutes. If it gets comments and likes quickly, the algorithm will spread it to more people.

  • What to do? Respond to every comment you receive immediately. It's not only polite, it signals to the algorithm that the post is generating a lively conversation.

3. Stop selling, start providing value

Users go on social media to have fun, not to be sold to. A post that simply says "Sale! 20% off" will receive low exposure.

  • The winning formula: 80% content that provides value (tips, behind the scenes, humor) and only 20% direct sales content.

4. The Power of Stories

The story is the place to build a personal relationship. Use interactive stickers: polls, questions, and ratings. Every time a surfer clicks on your story, they are "colored" as engaged and ensure that the next post you upload will appear in their feed.

5. Spark discussion (don't ask "yes/no" questions)

Instead of asking "Did you like the post?", ask open-ended questions that require an opinion.

  • For example: "What is your biggest marketing challenge this week?" Longer responses are considered more meaningful by the algorithm than a simple like.

6. Timing is (almost) everything

Check your Page's Insights to see when your followers are most active. There's no point in posting a great post at 2 a.m. if your target audience is asleep.

7. Share in relevant groups (but carefully)

Groups are where community lives today. Share the post from your business page to professional groups you are a member of, but only do so when the content is truly relevan
